Texas License To Carry Course
TX LTC Courses from Texas Department Safety is a course for Law Abiding Citizens desiring to know the laws of Texas pertaining to Self Defense and the use of Force. This course is not a "Learn How to Shoot Course" This is a one day course to include the classroom portion and range proficiency exam. More information to follow once you sign up.
NRA Basic Pistol + Texas License To Carry Course
This is a 2-day course 12 hour course that enables you to learn how to shoot and obtain your TX LTC permit. Establish the fundamentals of marksmanship and safety, plus learn the laws of the State of Texas. More information to follow once you sign up.
Texas School Safety Course
This course is a Texas Department of Public Safety Course.
This course is designed for a minimum of fifteen (15) hours, maximum twenty (20) hours of classroom instruction, student examinations, practical exercises and the student handgun proficiency demonstration.
Course objective: The overall objective of this course is to educate students on the responsibilities related to school safety who are employees of a school district or open-enrollment charter school who hold a license to carry a handgun. This course is open to any church ministry members who have a Texas LTC permit.
Outlined objectives are:
• Protection of students
• Interaction of license holders with first responders
• Tactics for denying an intruder entry into a classroom or school facility
• Methods for increasing a license holders’ accuracy with a handgun while under duress
Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event
This is a free 2 hour briefing on what to do in case of an "Active Shooter Event'. It provides an understanding on the principles of "Avoid", "Deny" and "Defend". This is an excellent training for those that want to know what to do but are not armed. Excellent course for church groups, school staff and businesses dealing with the public.
Church Security Training
The Church Security course is designed for students who desire to form an armed House of Worship security team, are already on a security team. Topics covered in this 16-hour course include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Use of Force Laws
- Mitigating risks regarding Assault by Contact, Unlawful Arrest, and Detention
- Team member selection and training
- Individual member gear and tools
- Identifying, interacting with, and managing suspicious visitors or known persons with questionable intent and procedures for maintaining close supervision of persons who are security concerns
- Use of OC in the Church environment
- Common guns, gear, and clothing issues seen on Church Security Teams
- Church Security specific live-fire exercises covering but not limited to, the following:
- Firearms safety
- Situationally-based ready positions
- Recommended shooting drills
- Contact distance, near-contact distance, and close distance shooting
- Precision shooting in crowded areas
- Armed movement through crowds
- Recommended Church Security Team Member Qualification Test
- Security concerns in the Children’s Area
- Team communications
- Video Surveillance
- Development of a Church Security Plan and Team Operating Order
- Site evaluation and tactical positioning of security team members outside and inside of the House of Worship

AR Mid range Course
